Last updated: January 2026

FAM (Monaco) Multi Family Office SAM (“FAM”, “we”, “us”) is committed to protecting the personal data of the families we work with and of visitors to this website. This Policy explains what personal data we process, why, on what legal basis, with whom we share it, and the rights you have.

It is issued in accordance with Monaco Law n°1.565 of 3 December 2024 on the protection of personal data and its implementing texts.

1. Who we are (Data Controller)

The data controller is FAM (Monaco) Multi Family Office SAM, a société anonyme monégasque licensed as a Multi Family Office under Monaco Law n°1'439 of 2 December 2016, registered office Le Roqueville, 20 Boulevard Princesse Charlotte, 98000 Monaco. For any question about this Policy or your personal data, contact info@fam.mc or +377 97 77 33 34.

2. Scope

This Policy applies to personal data we process (i) when you visit fam.mc, (ii) when you contact us or request a consultation, and (iii) in the course of a professional relationship with a client family, including through our client portal, FAM Atlas (app.fam.international).

3. The personal data we collect

  • Website visitors: technical and usage data such as IP address, device and browser type, and pages viewed, recorded in standard server logs. We do not use third-party analytics or tracking tools.
  • Enquiries: the name, email, telephone and message content you provide when you contact us or request a consultation.
  • Clients and prospective clients: identity and contact details; information required for know-your-customer and anti-money-laundering checks (identification documents, source of wealth and funds, tax residence); financial, asset and family information necessary to provide our services; and records of communications and instructions.

4. Why we process your data, and our legal bases

We process personal data to respond to enquiries and provide requested information (our legitimate interest, or steps taken at your request prior to a contract); to provide our services and perform our engagement with a client (performance of a contract); to comply with legal and regulatory obligations, in particular Monaco anti-money-laundering legislation and our obligations as a licensed Multi Family Office (legal obligation); to operate and secure our website (legitimate interest); and, where required, on the basis of your consent, which you may withdraw at any time.

5. Cookies and similar technologies

This website does not use advertising or third-party analytics/tracking cookies. It stores a single functional item in your browser — your language preference — so the site can remember your choice; this is strictly necessary and is not used to track you. The site loads typefaces from Google Fonts, which means your IP address is transmitted to Google to deliver them. See also section 11 of our Terms & Conditions.

6. Who we share your data with

We do not sell personal data. We may share it, under confidentiality, with:

  • banks, custodians and counterparties involved in a client engagement;
  • professional advisers (legal, tax, audit);
  • service providers who process data on our behalf under written terms — including our website host and IT provider, MBS (Monaco), and, for font delivery, Google;
  • competent authorities and regulators where required by law.

7. International transfers

Serving internationally mobile families may require transferring personal data outside Monaco. Where we do so, we ensure an adequate level of protection through appropriate safeguards recognised under Monaco Law n°1.565.

8. How long we keep your data

We keep personal data only as long as necessary. Records collected for anti-money-laundering and regulatory purposes are retained for five years after the end of the business relationship, as required by Monaco anti-money-laundering law (Law n°1.362, as amended). Enquiry and contact data are kept for up to 24 months if no relationship results. Server logs are kept for up to 12 months.

9. Security

We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss or misuse, consistent with the confidentiality central to our work.

10. Your rights

Under Monaco Law n°1.565 you may access your personal data and obtain its rectification, erasure or restriction; object to certain processing; request portability; and withdraw consent where processing relies on it. Some rights may be limited where we are required to retain data by law (for example, AML records).

11. Exercising your rights

Contact us at info@fam.mc or by post at the address above. We may need to verify your identity before responding.

12. Complaints

Please contact us first. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Monegasque supervisory authority, the Autorité de Protection des Données Personnelles (APDP), Monaco.

13. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. The current version is always available at fam.mc/privacy.html, with the date of the latest update shown above.
