These Terms govern the use of www.fam.mc (the “Site”), operated by FAM (Monaco) Multi Family Office SAM (“FAM Monaco”, “we”, “us”), a société anonyme monégasque registered in the Principality of Monaco, licensed as a Multi Family Office under Monaco Law n°1'439 of 2 December 2016.
By accessing or browsing the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. The Site is informational
The Site exists to present FAM Monaco’s profile, mandates, methodology, and contact information. It does not constitute:
- an offer to provide financial, legal, tax, or investment advice;
- a solicitation to enter into any contract or transaction;
- a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any security or asset.
Engagement with FAM Monaco begins only after a signed mandate. Until then, nothing on this Site creates a client relationship.
2. No professional advice
The content of the Site is general in nature and is not a substitute for professional advice. Decisions affecting wealth, tax, succession, residency, or investment should be taken only after consultation with qualified advisors familiar with the family’s specific circumstances. References to laws and regulations are summary in nature and may not reflect the most recent amendments. We accept no liability for decisions taken in reliance on information drawn from the Site alone.
3. Information accuracy
We make reasonable efforts to keep the Site accurate and current. We do not warrant that every page is error-free or up to date at all times. References to laws, regulations, or third-party institutions are provided in good faith but should not be relied upon without independent verification.
4. Intellectual property
The contents of the Site — text, photographs, video footage, the FAM Monaco mark and logo, and the structure of the pages — are owned by FAM Monaco or licensed to it.
You may view, save, and print pages for personal, non-commercial use. Any other reproduction, republication, framing, or substantial extraction requires our prior written consent.
5. Third-party links
The Site may contain links to third-party websites (banks, legal databases, regulatory bodies, partner advisors). We do not control those sites and accept no responsibility for their content, privacy practices, or availability.
6. Communications
If you submit information through the Site — for example by writing to info@fam.mc or requesting a consultation — your communication will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
We respond to qualified enquiries within two business days, in writing or by appointment. We do not commit to confidentiality of communications received before a mandate is signed; we recommend not sending sensitive information by unencrypted email until an engagement is formally agreed.
7. Acceptance of new clients
FAM Monaco accepts a small number of new mandates each year. Receipt of a contact form, an email, or a phone enquiry does not constitute acceptance. An engagement begins only when both parties have signed a written mandate, after the customary due diligence and compliance reviews.
We reserve the right to decline any enquiry without stating reasons.
8. Sanctions and compliance
FAM Monaco operates within the Monegasque, European Union and international frameworks for the prevention of money laundering, the financing of terrorism, and the enforcement of financial sanctions. We do not accept enquiries from, or engagements with, individuals or entities subject to applicable sanctions regimes, or whose source of wealth, residency, or activity cannot satisfy our customary due diligence.
By contacting us, you confirm that you are not subject to such restrictions.
9. Data protection
Personal data received through the Site or in the course of an enquiry is processed in accordance with Monaco Law n°1.565 of 3 December 2024 on the protection of personal data, in alignment with the European General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation EU 2016/679). Specifics on retention, processing, transfer, and your rights as data subject are set out in the Privacy Policy (when published).
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by Monaco law, FAM Monaco shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential or punitive loss arising from access to or use of the Site, including loss of data, opportunity, revenue, or reputation. Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for matters that cannot lawfully be excluded under Monaco law.
11. Cookies and tracking
The Site uses only the technical cookies strictly required to display content correctly and to remember language preferences. We do not use cookies for advertising or behavioural tracking. Details are in the Privacy Policy (when published).
12. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Principality of Monaco. Any dispute arising in connection with the Site or these Terms shall be submitted to the competent courts of Monaco.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version in force is the one published on this page at the date of access. Material changes will be noted by an updated “Last updated” date.
